Another discreet carry for a Perrin's griffe, with its pistol grip : on your strong side, inside the pant, under the belt, with the grip sticking out and the lace secured around the belt.

Sounds like a more complex arrangement than the small dive knife by Tekna I use to carry upside down strong side inside of shorts or swimsuit. It was a fast draw but some care had to be given to putting it back. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I apologize for not being more clear, but I meant that the knife was worn INSIDE my pants leg for concealment purposes and I had to open my zipper to reach in and pull it out. <img src="/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

(P.S. The first post was much more comprehensive.)

bountyhunter,

The first post was down right distasteful.

You're my kind of people...

SgtMike88Ret:

There was nothing directly objectionable about it as it was designed to evoke response based on the readers translation. <img src="/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

The large empty space before the final conclusion was included to see if people are curious enough for all of the post or so concerned with "PC" that they felt many would be offended. <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I refuse to be offended unless the PRESUMED obvious does in fact exist. In this case, the PRESUMED obvious did NOT exist. I am not responsible for any diversions a readers mind may take. <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Besides, it is so much fun! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I carry a "la griffe"-style knife as a neck knife 24/7 an what should I say? I realy love this piece of steel !
OK, itīs not that big deal for chopping or skinning tasks but itīs my item of choise for a last ditch device.
Yes, I would depend my life on it if I have to ...

Nevertheless I carry some other blades all day long depending on the tasks at least Leatherman and Opinel.

My current neck/backup knife is this piece from Ken Brock and Hideaway Knives and I love it. A full review of this knife will be coming as soon as I have spent more quality time with it. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I keep it in it's extremely well engineered Kydex bikini sheath with a 2" ferrocerium rod attached.

This knife is very small and flat and all S30v for you blade steel nuts. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Part of my EDC is a Leatherman Micra on an improvised lanyard made from 20-lb fly line backing and a small carabiner. It's surprisingly useful. Given that I almost always have my Vic Rucksack and/or a Gerber multitool on my person, I wouldn't bother with a blade-only necker.
