whatsinyourbag is a set of hypertext pictures from the photo website flickr...

Now I know this is not exactly a "survival" topic, but I did find the interesting format something that may be applicable to kits we discuss on this site. Actually, looking through the photos - I might describe most of the bag owners as Unequipped to Survive - when I scanneded all 110 photos with the tag "whatsinyourbag" as a slideshow (note this efficient viewing feature at the top right corner of the page) - I only noticed one Leatherman Juice and maybe a couple of Victorinox Classic knifes.

Anyways, I think it's worth a peek to see what the rest of the world carries in their kit...

Content of their Altoid tins are a little different than the people who hang out here

I saw a few L-man Waves, sebertech tools, a Spyderco, flashlights, and lighters. You have to remember most people carry what they find they need throughout the day. So if they find that they never need a knife or flashlight, why carry the weight? We are different in that we prepare for the unexpected, while they are just prepared for an ordinary day.

It’s not what you need during your normal day that counts as much as what you might need during a bad day.
My wife’s bag could easily be one of those in that link except hers has a small Princeton Tec LED light attached to the handle of her bag and a SAK and mini LED key chain light clipped to the key leash inside the pocket next to the pepper spray.
She doesn’t use any of it very often but it’s always there when needed.

well, you missed an Altoid tin (who knows what's in there ..??... ), several knives, many leatherman (or look alike ? ) tools (different models), at least one Photon microlight, compasses, one FAK, etc...
and I only checked the first page of the slide-show ...

But you right : I didn't see one bag with a complete set of "Be prepared gear" as we deem it necessary ...
