WOW! Now I see why they have disappeared from the gun auction sites! I guess I was really lucky, although I sold my first parkerized 22H/410 M6, I always planned to buy a stainless one. I just recently bought one in 22H/410 and some accessories from Springfield. I am set. It is a shame, it is such a nice little gun to pack in the vehicle on long outdoor trips. Folds up or takes apart and fits anywhere. For those that don't know the history, this was a rifle originally delevoped for aircrew survival when cold war bombers were in the air over the far north country 24/7. The military gun was 22H/410 and had a 14" barrel so that it could fit into a small survival pack in the ejection seats, along with a compressed down bag and lots of other little goodies. The civilian version has an 18" barrel to meet ATF regs for shotgun barrel length. When they were first introduced by Springfield, they sold for about $100 and came in 22lr/410 or 22M/410 or 22H/410. Somewhere along the way they dropped the 22 mag. They also added a silly "trigger guard" to appease the lawyers that like to sue gunmakers.
Hate to see the M6 become extinct!
