I've been using SanDisk's Cruzer Micro 256MB drives.

Once, I was carrying one in my hand along with a highball glass full of Beaujolais. Needless to say, I fumbled the USB drive right into the glass, which was conveniently too narrow for me to fish it out by hand. I panicked for a moment, then grabbed another glass to pour out most of the wine, and sucked the drive out with the rest of the wine. Then I spit it into the sink, rinsed it off, dried it, and it's been working perfectly ever since.

It probably had a total of about 30 seconds of immersion between the wine and the water. I'm pretty impressed that it survived, so I bought a second one.

Waoh ..... 256Mb in a glass of Beaujolais !?!

Was it Beaujolais Nouveau ? some years it tends to be quite destructive

(yes, you're right : I don't especially like Beaujolais Nouveau ... )

Well, I have to say, I love the Nouveau. Went through two cases (at least) so far this winter...but now I'm looking for something new, perhaps some Fleurie?

But, I'm surprised you didn't chastise me for drinking my Beaujolais out of a highball glass instead of a proper wine goblet! I was feeling lazy that night.

Oooopsss.... that's a "faux pas" !

I didn't realise what a Highball glass is.

I guess it's more appropriate for a cocktail drink, is that right ? ?

Harumph.

My Sandisk Cruzer Micro has been through the wash several times now, no problems.

1GB of lovely data, water proof and fine.
