I am still in negotiations, and it may still not pan out. But the guy in Japan says they DO sort of have dollar stores there. He says they have a lot of steel plates & containers, and will check them out. He said they may not be Japanese-made, but Chinese. He asked how many I would want.

I explained our problem & offered to send him money in advance: cost of the boxes + shipping + a fee for his time & effort at least equal to the first two costs, which is only fair.

So I can get a rough estimate of what is needed, here's my question:

If he can find a number of these boxes (I sent him the Penrith photo), they are of a reasonable price (under $10 total per box incl shipping), are there people here who would be interested?

I will be glad to take two, Susan. Thanks for coordinating with the source. Ten dollars each sounds like a more than reasonalble cost to me. cm.

I'd definitely be on board for two of them as well.

Thank you for your effort, and I hope that this works out!

I would really like one or two, if you don't mind shipping them to Germany. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Susan,

I am interested if they are aluminum boxes with gaskets like the BCB boxes. I would take 4.

This international buying is fun eh?

Thanks for doing this.
