I know I might seem like an idiot for asking this question, but in all survival kits I always hear the word wire saw. What is a WIre saW? Thanks, David

You could try searching and come with all the info you want. In short it's a flexable wire with teeth built into it so works as a saw. Also sometimes called a Commando Saw or Commando wire saw. Don't buy a cheap one, get a Military issue or BCB.
