Man these things are great! Not just for ALICE LBE's, but also on regular belts.

They're perfect to hold altoids tin sized PSK's, and have a little bit of room to spare. They have plenty of room for 550 cord, "pocket chainsaw in a can", space blankets, and so on without a problem. You can even squeeze in an esbit stove! The size seems just about perfect too, large enough to hold a wide variety of items without being too large to wear on the belt comfortably

I don't understand what you're referring to. Could you be a little more specific?

Sorry...the US Military uses a little 5" x 4" pouch that has a dual purpose of holding the issue compass or a field dressing.



They're pretty inexpensive ($2-3 at a surplus store) and fit on a belt nicely. I've edited the initial post with the picture as well

They look perfect for my bandolero! A little lumpy, but you can't have everything.

Another option is the empty bandoleers. There are 7 pockets, each large enough to hold a casstte tape. I've used them for FAK's and PSK's. You can sew on velcro or use a safety pin to close them. Maxpedition makes some very nice belt pouches.
