So you don't need 150 ft at one time. All well and good. That is just an example of what I have.

Sure if you pull it no belt but say take 10 feet double it a couple of times slip it in the loops tie a knot you fave a functional belt. But I made the belt extra long even for my larger waist size. So if I only need 10 feet or so I can pull that much and a bit more, cut an tie a finish knot. I still have my belt and some extra cord. And if I need a laong rope I have it.

The same knot could make a bracelet as narrow or as wide oe as narrow as you desire.

You can increase and decrease the number of loops to achieve tapers.

What about a hat band?
Decrotive trim on any gear? Backpack? Coat? Vest? ETC,ETC?

As a decrotive piece just use a few light stitches to hold it in place. If you need it give it a good yank then unravel.

A hunk of rope in the pocket. Could be a real PITA. Make a square mat that fits your pocket. Remember There is no limit to width.

A pouch.A sholder belt. I've even made a couple of rifle slings. Some can be used for the needed purpose. Then a few feet can be saved to mke a ranger sling so your rife does not have to do without.

The nice thing over that other knot is the speed of recovery. Un tie the ending knot. Which is a strand pulled through the final loop. Give a pull and it unravels. You don't have to untie every knot. Your knot took a coulpe of minutes to recover 10 feet. If in a hurry my entire belt would take less than a minute including taking it off.

Because it has no defined size the possabilities are unlimited.
