Does anyone know the expiration date of summer sausage? There isn't one on the packages and the web sites of the manufacturers are no help. Hey, previously thought of useless gifts may come in handy!!!!!

The Hickory Farms one in my fridge says the exp date was March, 2004.... I think *I* got it last Christmas, but was it new then, or passed on?

Maybe it's like fruitcake & really lasts forever.... One ofmy neighbors received a fruitcake this Christmas that she swears looks just like one her mother got when she was a kid (she's retired now). <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
