I came across this, it appears to be a US distributer for the mess tin kit. I was interested in the tin itself especially, vice a standard tobacco tin that requires tape to keep it closed

I dunno if the contents are the same as in the kind found in the UK, but it's something at least for those who were interested in the tin itself. If I pick one up, I'd probably toss half the contents anyway and replace it with other things.

Oi..... it's not US, it's NZ. I guess I should look at the URL more carefully. I saw the $ and I just assumed. Doh.....

Or you can go into nearly any tobacconist and ask if they have any empty tins. The ones near me always have a few empty tins that they're happy to give away.
