I've seen bits and pieces of this topic in other threads, but nothing that comprehensively tackles the topic. If I'm being redundant, apologies in advance.

The short version of the question is: What's the best container for a PSK? I've tried tins, but they just don't work in the back pocket of suit pants. Right now I'm using two Eagle Creek Quick change pouches - one in the right back pocket with a PSK, one in left back pocket for FAK. They balance well, but the disadvantage is that, like back pocket wallets over time, the contents don't hold up well. Example: waterproof paper gets worn, antibiotic ointment gets crushed/popped. Another problem is that neither is very waterproof. Front pocket carry is not an option: Leatherman charge on left, Boker Gemini and wallet on the right. All this lets me avoid scrutiny of having stuff hanging off my belt, but doesn't solve the container problem.

So, is there another side where the grass is greener, or should I just quit whining and be happy with what I have?

Too bad you can't wear cargo pants with a suit.

Look for a variation on the classic hip flask with the curved body. There are many lexan varients with a friction fit upper and lower half. It's somewhat clumsy for storage, but is safe, easily taped for additional waterproofing and in a suit jacket interior breast pocket drapes fairly smoothly.

That's a great idea. Thanks. Forgive the stupid follow up, but we're not talking about an actual flask, are we? What would you search for on the various sites? Seems to me "flask" would get you the ones with the neck and cap. If you have a good source, that'd be appreciated.

I know some people that have the PSK with the neck & the cap. They say everything they need fits in it nicely, comes out smoothly, & is easily changed. Contents don't deteriorate because it is changed frequently.

I have seen these containers in the for of everything from tiny cheap FAKs to soap holders. I wish I could find a pic. I'll keep lookin. I went to a wedding recently and a decent amount of gear fit nicely in the inside breast pocket of my tux in an AMK pouch. Glad I dont wear a suit on a daily basis. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I have one small enough to fit under my shirt, large enough for my psk, and some documents when I travel.I use their small belt case. It has a neck lanyard and a belt loop.
