It has now been some time since I first visited this forum.
It's my home page for my internet navigator.
I have come to respect/admire the vast variety of knowledgable people "lurking around" here ....

So I guess it's time I ask THE question that has been bothering me since my first english lessons :

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood ??????

... never found the answer to that one .........

(yes ... it has been a straining day ... how did you guess ? )

A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck wood.

Heh. Fun.

"How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?"
All the wood that a woodchuck could, if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

And, of course ...
"How many cans can a canner can, if a canner can can cans?"
A canner can can as many cans as a canner can, if a canner can can cans.

Thtay thafe,
J.T.

It's raining here, 51 degrees fahrenhiet and grey as a wallstreet broker. Theres a new local cafe featuring provencal cuisine. It is wedged between a Mac Donalds and a Dunkin' Donut. I was their first customer last saturday. I could have been in "A clean well lighted place" of Hemingway or a Tolouse-Lautrec painting. The owners were worried over such a slow beginning. So I ordered a full bottle of wine, an expensive vintage. I requested glasses poured for my two friends, and the lady at the next table. The maitre'de went along with my fantasy, and accepted my invitation to join us. We toasted my companions Francois Villon, Antoine de Saint-Exupery and I raised my glass to Edith Piaf at the next table. The maitre'de and I watched a oppossum walk past MacD's and casually into our gathering. With chivalrous elan, he welcomed his second customer with a plate of delicacies. I don't know about woodchucks, but possums, unlike another invasive mammal to California, are evolving culturally, if not genetically.

Alain, that only happens on the west coast. Over here on the east coast the opossums dumpster dive more often than i do. Of course that might be considered redneck chic.
