Finals are 3 weeks away... I can always taste the paramedic patch. Still big exams are not until January 3rd... I'm so glad it's going to be over but over the last year I realized who my real friends are. I'm happy to see my knowledge progressing and getting better every day.

It's definiately a change to work as a teacher after my programmer position was outsourced to india. At least I'm teaching young EMTs and it seems like a reward in itslef. I also ride a lot both for private hospital and my volunteer dept.

I have an interview with NYC Fire Dept EMS division early Nov and this may be the way to go.

Otherwise I'm sad that ARC went out of bussiness... There is a knife show in NYC on Nov 12,13 and 14 for those of you who would like to attend. I'm itching to go away since I hadn't have vacation in a long time and weekend trips or day trips are not doing me any good.

On the EDC note... I'm trying to incorporate a small fixed 3 inch blade and redisign my FAK a bit. New 5.11 tactical jacket is great with about 12 pockets to store your gear around.

Halloween is right around the corner and that means a parade.

Matt, glad to hear you are in sight of the finish.
I remember finals in nursing school, and then waiting 6 months to sit for boards (pre-computer boards).
If you need to get away, come to Little Rock, I have a spare bedroom.
LOTS of hiking, fishing, and water around.

Good luck on your exams!!! I just want to let you know that I have always enjoyed reading your threads and posts. I have even been inspired !! I am beginning my EMT training In two weeks <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />. I was lucky enough to find a class starting through the local community college's EMS division and I am VERY excited! This is a very interesting subject for me and I have always wanted to possess this type of knowledge. I don't know yet where or how I will use it or even if I want to pursue a career path in EMS but I know that I am going to enjoy taking the course.
