From time to time I see these things on eBay. They are obviously selling for 200% of the original cost. While some people are willing to pay that amount...I choose not to for the simple fact I see problems down the road. One of which was mentioned by Brian, the flashlight had trouble turning on and off. I would not want to be stuck with a non-repairable, non-functioning light. Since I assume you want one for an EDC kit, then it would need to be a reliable light. OTOH, if you want one for the sake of wanting one then by all means go ahead and get one. I have been looking at the streamlight keymate as an alternative to the ARC AAA. Both the LED museum and CPF have reviews on these lights. They are certain to catch a now lost niche in the light market since ARC went out of business, but are the keymates as bright as the ARC's? Well the debate seems to be raging on at CPF and according to data at the LED Museum; the keymate is definately not as bright. About the secret source, well I know of one, or did from several years ago. You have to know the secret handshake and password of the day to gain access, oops; scratch that, wrong post! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> I used to work security at a motel (cops are always looking for extra money) and I learned the maids were always finding various belongings the guests left behind. Don't laugh, I have 6 knives...I never paid anything for any of them. 2 were gifts and guests left the others, 2 Bucks and 2 Schrades, behind. Once a year our town hosted a gun show and after that weekend you could get a "new " knife, flashlight, or ??? Well you get the idea! <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
