Being a former Marine I can appreciate the value of keeping things waterproof. I have read alot of the posts and do not recall anyone using one of the otterboxes as a psk. I have been checking them out being they appear to be waterproof and come in fairly small sizes. Has anyone used or using one of these, are they worth the extra couple of bucks?<br><br>I would appreciate any information given, thank you.

I spied a couple of the otter boxes this past week, and was interested in them as well; they were approximately 3x the size of a altoids tin (the conanical PSK container ) and well constructed.<br><br>The otter containers I looked at were equipped with a lanyard of sufficient length to wear around your neck, which was a good feature if you were planning on being somewhere where you could wear something that large, perhaps under a parka in the snow covered mountains or Alaska.<br><br>If I found one of approximately the size necessary to carry in a back pocket, I'd certainly give it a try.<br><br>

I use the smallest size otter box for my kit. An altoids tin just barely fits inside. I am currently trying to decide how much I like it. It holds a little more than an altoids tin, but is also slightly bulkier. It is completely waterproof though, so if that is a big issue you should definately check it out. Probably a bit large for denim jeans pocket, but easily fits in BDUs or a coat pocket, and has a nice lanyard attachment. I believe it also floats, but I haven't check that yet. They aren't any more expensive than buying a tobacco tin with the tobacco in it. I recommend checking it out, and seeing if it works for your particular preferences. It has alot going for it...
