My advice is simply to make sure 'you' have what 'she' needs in 'your' kits. I can't get my wife to carry a PSK (she couldn't carry most of the stuff anyway since she teaches in a public school with metal detectors) but she keeps mace, a leatherman squirt p4, a SOG Paratool and a well stocked "emergency kit" in her car and also carries a fox 40 whistle on her person all the time. The car kit is continually growing. I find that every time we are away from home and my wife needs something (allergy meds, feminine products, string, a file, etc) and I have it with me and readily available, then she is one step closer to understanding. Every time I provide an item for her (usually from the BOB I keep in my truck) that she needs, I then (if it isn't already there) ask her "would you like for me to put one in your car kit too?" Of course the answer is always "yes" and with each "yes" she is a little more prepared than before. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
