The way I figure it, is if you can repackage iodine which is nasty reacting stuff you can repackage MP1 tabs as well. Could be wrong.

I haven't done it but thought about it. The packages it comes in are quite bulky, but if you cut all the extra edges off and crush the tab to powder they take up a lot less space. A vial like Doug uses is ideal though. I am thinking about it myself.
