Well it appears as though the Knife Gods want me to purchase a Mini RSK. Last weekend I was fool and went swimming in the lake with my full size RSK secured (I thought) in a pocket with a full velcro closure but not attached to me in any other way such as via clip or lanyard. Well, now my RSK is at the bottom of the lake somewhere near my boat dock (unless its already drifted). What a coincidence that this week I also first saw that the non-serialized (and slightly closer to being within my budget) Mini RSK had become available! Well I have always felt weird about buying the exact same item twice for some reason so I was really disappointed that a knife which I was at first reluctant to purchase (just because I dont favor folders in general) which quickly turned in to the best folder I have ever owned was now gone after such a short time. Anyway I try to look at the positive side of things so I am taking it as a sign that the Knife Gods wanted me to have a slightly smaller, lighter version of the same knife. Should be in today or tomorrow so I'll have it in time to go back to the lake. This time before I go swimming I will probably secure it with the clip, a lanyard, half a roll of duct tape, super glue and a foot of steel cable. I still may go looking for my full size RSK around the dock too!

BTW... just incase any of you married folk are wondering if I told my wife that I lost a $100+ knife and already replaced it with another very similar $100+ knife.... all I can say is HAHAHAHAHA.... what do you think?!?!?!?

Sounds like a basic survival skill to me.

ARG I just found out that I lost another $40 on the Arc AAA PE I sent in for warranty repair/replacement just days before the company went under and everything (including my light) was seized!

LOL ya no kidding. BTW I LOVE my mini RSK. I will probably put a detailed review on BF once I have used it a little more. I'll link to the review or paste a copy here too if anyone is interested.
