I find nitrlie gloves to last longer when compressed but when latex has to be stretched to tear, nitrlie just tears when you pull to flatten them... It may also be that I carry them on my belt directly so they get moisture from sweat, moinsture from rain, humidity, cold, hot and anything inbetween that gets into the pouch.

That's why good thing for water storage is a sock and non lubricated latex or nitrile condom.
