Any survival course I've ever gone to or heard of either provided a packing list or provided the gear. They were strict about bringing anything else.<br>However I did unexpectedly spend the night in a rubber tree plantation in Thailand once. I had a U.S military surplus mosquito bar, I think bar is short for barrier. Basically a mosquito net.<br>It was big enough that I could hang it from the trees and still have enough left over to lay on to keep things from crawling in.<br>Another nice thing to have is a quality poncho and, at a minimum, four elastic cords. These have served me well from the Alaskan Arctic to the California Desert.<br><br><br>
