Well, a PA or Nurse Practictioner might be more useful as an assistant to my wife, but near as I can tell the training is a lot more extensive. I thought a PA was a 2 year degree, and NP is basically a masters degree on top of nursing, which is basically a 4 year degree. We would be doing this in about 2 years or so, and I don't want to spend the WHOLE time training.
While EMT is less useful, I'm under the impression that it's a lot less training, but that's basically what I'm trying to find out. EMT-Basic is just a few months, near as I can tell, and even just that would be quite useful, and maybe just enough to be a lot more helpful.
