The boot knife is of good quality and well balanced. I would not recommend it if the primary use is rescue tasks.The knife has some disadvantages. The handle is pretty short and can get slippery when it gets wet. That makes it hard to apply certain grips. The chisel grind sets the edge off center. The double edged blade looks aggressive and prohibits grips where you put a finger on the back of the blade for fine cutting tasks. It´s not too good for cutting seatbelts or clothes. After all the knife is a fighting knife and designed for stabbing.
If you want to buy one, you should defintely handle one before buying.
