[color:"red"] STOP ENOUGH
[color:"black"] I am not going to be a knife collector. I am not going to be a knife collector...
I ... oh heck.. I bought the Mini RSK, too. Now have the full size and the mini. Great knives.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DOUG... STOP before I have to get into treatment.

Too late I'm already in treatment! Apart from emergency preparedness I'm also interested in bushcraft, I dive and climb etc so "need" a lot of different knives. So far this year I've ordered 3 folders, 4 fixed blades and 2 axes (although one of the axes and one of the fixed blades are presents for my girlfriend).

Dave750gixer:

Since you are in treatment, I just have to ask.

You are going to give your girlfriend that axe and knife handle first, right?

I can't stand it any more. I put it on my christmas wish list, but I can't wait any longer. I'm into a new credit card cycle, so I'll order one now. My wife is out of town for two weeks, so I can hide it before she get's back.

Now I've got to decide- black or yellow?

EDIT: Are there any of the serialized ones left?

I got mine and I love it. Absolutely the perfect size for EDC!! I will probably put a detailed review on the BF board once I have a chance to use it and "get to know it" better. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Brian:

Get a large (As heavy as you can handle and with as much magnatism as you can break free of a large metal drum (Containing Jimmy Hoffa?) in case the magnet has to be pulled free of an unwanted item.) permanent magnet, and troll the known area for your knife.

Who knows, you might salvage an old fishing lure like the Heddon that recently sold on Ebay for over $32,000.00, and then you could buy all of Doug's serialized knives with the booty you make on the lure.

Good luck!

Good idea .. I know about where it went down (near the dock) and its only 8-10 feet deep there.

Harbor Freight has some magnets that would work well for this, if there is one in your area you could "field test" them.
Don't remember where, but I saw a magnetic "broom" used to clean up construction areas, that might work.
Good luck!
