Ok, I have read what I could about these two tools. What is the experience of users on the forum about which one I should buy. Money is not the issue, but I just want the best one. Does the new Ti have the knife blades along the edge ot the handle like the Wave or not? Anyone have both, and if so what do you recommend?? Thanks

I have two older Waves and one TI. I like the TI better. When I used the screwdrivers on the old wave on a tight screw, I twisted the screwdrivers like a cork screw. The new TI screwdriver is a lot stronger. The locking screwdrivers on the new TI do not collapse like the non-locking ones on the older wave. On the old wave, the hole used to open the knife blade is smaller then the new TI, and I cut my thumb a couple of times opening the old wave's blades. With the larger hole on the new TI, I have not yet cut my thumb. The old wave blades required sharpening more often then the new TI, when cutting a lot of cardboard boxes. The scissors on the old wave is larger than the new TI, but both have worked well for cutting paper and string. The pliers, saw, and file on both are all good.

I agree with you, that the Ti is probably a better tool, but today I happened to go to Costco and found the Wave with a mini-Mag light and the corresponding sheath with batteries for $59. So I have gone ahead and purchased the Wave--hopefully I will be careful with opening the blade and using the screwdrivers and all should be ok. Heck, I did save myself $40 and got the flashlight and nylon sheath.
