You mean GUANO (that's how we spell it ...I don't know how to translate it in english ; I guess it's the same word)

Alain (Frenchy)

I believe Bountyhunter is referring to gnu (noo) as in the African antelope, or in modern geek speak the ?open source code? of both Linux and UNIX computer software.

Guano is translated the same in English as it is in French, Bat Fertilizer, yeah that?s it; Fertilizer. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Take care,

Stargazer:

Frenchy had it right.

I though Guano the way I thought it was spelled meant bat turds, but upon seeing the correct spelling realized the pronounciation is different and that it does not rhyme with "do".

Gnu would rhyme with do, but it would not have continued the previous post referencing bats.

Thanks!

Bountyhunter

... you do realise that there were 'bat bombs' being tested in the USA for use against the Japanese in WWII, right?...

This thread started to remind me of Shawn of the Dead...
