TL; DR:

That promising new survival ebook you see may have been largely written by AI, particularly if the publisher is listed as "Publifye AS", and the release date is this year.

Look to see if the author's name is followed by "and AI", and search for the title on Google Books: If Google Books appends ", AI" to the author's name, it probably was.

Details:

I was initially pleased to find an 81-page 2025 ebook devoted to signal mirrors (my obsession) by "Serena Vaughn" in the Kindle store on Amazon [1]. But, as I read it I found it very vague and containing critical misinformation.

I began to suspect that it was written by AI, and the "Disclaimer" buried a few pages before the end confirmed it.

I was peeved that the sales page on "Amazon" failed to mention the use of AI, and I posted a 2 star review saying so. A few hours later, the sales page for that book disappeared. I know I'm not making this up, though, because I saved an archival link[2] as a precaution, and the ebook is still on my device.

I noted at the time on the Amazon page for that "author" that they had published at least 30 books in March 2025, on a wide array of topics, nine released on March 12, 2025. That page also disappeared overnight [archive link at [3]].

However, I still find 125 books released in 2025 if I put the search string below into Google Books:
publifye "Serena Vaughn"
and they are apparently purchasable on Google Play, e.g.:

https://play.google.com/store/books/deta...search_viewport

I searched the Amazon Kindle store today for books by that publisher ("Publifye"), and I see only 13 titles remaining, each of which has "and AI" after the author's name.

Digging further, I discovered that AI "aided" books were being produced at such a rate that Amazon set a limit of 3 books/day/author[4].

I wondered how many books the publisher, "Publifye AS", had put out discussing signal mirrors, so I did a Google Books search for:
"signal mirror" publifye

Google Books thoughtfully added the text string:
, AI
after the name of each "author" - something to check

I got 50 hits, all published this year - since many of them have titles targeted at our group,
I list a representative sample below.
