Saw this referenced at another site and it looks like a 'good deal' if you want to stock up on "survival food" items.

I figure tucking away a few MREs for trips or whatever isn't a bad idea and I like the self contained / complete nature of the packages.

Looks like these are near the original expiration date.

Correct. But the photo seems to show a 2001 lot code. Am I misreading that?
