Doug Ritter's original RSK Mk1, purchased very soon after it first came available, was the very first knife that I carried clipped to my front pocket - with the knife body inside my pocket. I'm still carrying that original knife, although my first mini was lost some years back.
Yesterday I reached into my pocket to pull out my car keys. Something felt odd. I quickly realized that my finger was rubbing alongside the tip up open blade. Luckily the blade edge just barely caught my pinkey finger. The blade is VERY sharp, and took a very shallow slice across the knuckle. Lots of blood at the time, but as of this morning it looks good and no pain. I consider myself very lucky.
All I can think of is that the ring the keys are on caught the thumb stud and pulled the blade out. I don't think the Resqme window popper that rides with the key could have caught the thumb stud. I honestly have no concern that it will happen again.
