Just now I checked and it is up to -6 here in the middle of Iowa. Over the last few days there has been a foot plus of snow, lots of blowing and below zero temps.

I'm in a newer area so all the utilities are underground and the local infrastructure fairly robust. No power issues in our area and most people around here know how to cope with this sort of weather. We have had no need to go out since Thursday and are sitting home watching TV detective shows and other 'fun' stuff.
