I have some Biofreeze patches with an expiration date of May. Can you tell me when they really expire?

I am not a medical professional nor a chemist.

My personal experience with expired Biofreeze patches is that they work very well. I would expect that the expiration date is more about an expected date for the packaging to fail and the product to become ineffective due to that, than anything else.
