Yeah, got both a flashlight & headlamp, that came with rechargeable AA-sized (14500) 3.7v lithium ion batteries which have a USB port for direct charging. Find it handy for EDC lights.
But both will take NiMHs or lithium primaries, or even alkalines. Though output will be lower.

Spotlights I have little knowledge of, but would use larger lithium ion rechargeables for sure, like 18650 or even 21700 for the longer runtimes.
