Hello, what does everyone use to hold their EDC kit? I am looking for a very compact kit size, that is similar in size to Doug's original PSP kit. I prefer a flexible container vs the typical rigid Altoids type kit. I have looked at several for sale on the web and most are too large for my minimalist kit needs. Thanks in advance.

My on-body EDC is distributed between my pockets, a holster and a magazine carrier.

For bag carry, I’m a big fan of building modules for different purposes. In my laptop bag, I have a module for trauma medical, for boo-boos, for other emergencies, backup power, admin, and cables. In other cases I use quart ziplocs.

Let us know what you’re carrying, and I’m sure that you’ll get some more specific advice.

Fan of these

https://noaks.de/

Seem pretty durable and the edge is welded 7mm wide, so hasn't blown out at the edge like a regular zip lock would over time.

Though if I had to guess the S size is smaller than the PSP, and the M larger.

XS size fits a 2 Maxi Bic lighters pretty much.

Here is a pic from last year of my spare fire kit in an S.

SAK Walker
Lighter
LMF Army Rod
Tin (80mm x 50mm x 15mm) with dozen tinder quiks, and a dozen storm matches.
Two tea lights

Since added an expandable bellows, replaced the Army rod with a Scout, and the tea lights have been replaced with 4 7g dragon fuel pods.

Nice find Ren.

I’ve bought a couple of these: https://tuffpossumgear.com/product/pocket-possibles-pouch/ for small to midsize EDC items and been very happy with them. It’s a bit of a different use case than the Noaks bags.

Another option is something from the Magpul Daka range.

https://magpul.com/gear/daka-organization.html?cat=205

Would have gotten some but the one store that sells them for reasonable price over here sell out as soon as they get any stock.

Ren,

Thanks, that is exactly what I am looking for. I will need to see if they ship to the US, or if they are sold here already.

Also, I like the kit. Very similar to what I am building.

Glad I could help you out Jax!

I have a bunch of the Daka pouches and like them a lot but I personally prefer to not carry them in a pocket. Even in a cargo pocket they feel a little weird to me, I think it’s the texture.

No idea if anyone in the US sells them.

I guess Amazon.de would send them over.

I think I did buy the wrong set initially. Got the set of 1 of each size. And XL size is huge. L is A4ish so might make an inexpensive waterproof map cover.

The Smart Set (1 XS, 2 S and 2 M) would've been better.

Check out the Stasher line of bags. I've found them in Whole Foods, Publix etc. They make various sizes. Stasherbag.com Usual disclaimer.
