I summited Mt Whitney for the first time this August 11. I'd never try it in October or any 14er in October. That is not smart, imo.

This group should have demanded (or taken him) David go back down (not stay put) immediately at his first indication of altitude illness (first time he vomited or earlier since I skipped over some). The group put their wishes of a summit over their friends obvious signs of altitude illness. Yipes.
