There is a lot of web sources out there comparing car jump batteries. But this one is entertaining, though probably not all that scientific. Since we talked about shopping for car jump batteries a while ago, I thought I'd share these videos of the screaming guy.

I don't use YouTube anymore. Can you give a brief summary of what is in these videos that relates to ETS survival?

These videos are product reviews. The reviewer puts a number of batteries through tests that he devised himself. Hard for a layman like me to assess these tests, but they are fun to watch.

He compares car jump starters (like NOCO versus no name ones) to see which ones work.

They're an excellent tool to have in a car kit, you don't need someone else to jumpstart if you need to and being lithium ion based they hold their charge for a long time compared to the bigger lead acid ones that will die if not maintained.

They also often also serve as an external battery bank, 12V outlet / etc but I've never needed to use those features.

I ended up going with a "Topvision" brand because it seems to punch above its weight with regards to starting bigger engines like V8, have definitely gotten use out of it.

This video was actually rather informational.
What I like is that if you were to buy what he tested, you would have an idea of what you have. There is a lot to be said for knowing the product will do what you expect rather than driving around with a false sense of safety or security.
