Just in case you need it.
Go to Home Depot or Lowes.
Go to the kitchen cabinet department and get a sample ship of laminate surface material, ideally a smooth type, not textured.
Put that sample in your wallet.
If you need a knife, break off a corner of the laminate sample. You'll instantly have a scalpel-sharp blade that's fairly durable.
I learned this as a result of a little shop mishap I recently had with some laminate materis, soon followed by tests on rope, leather and other materials. It's a remarkable material, laminate finishes, and I'm still stunned at how sharp it is.
