Maybe your state was hit by a tsunami, or we witnessed a historic earthquake, or the power has been out for more than a week. What can we do to maintain a positive attitude in a longterm survival scenario?

Agreed!!Various studies affirm this, as does my personal experience...

For that matter, why assume you will have a negative attitude? You are surviving, after all, and that requires lots of fruitful, productive, effort....
