Sarah and I got our Evac-U8's on sale; She can tell you where; I don't remember. They're nifty little things, fit in their box and just sit there until you need them.
Ours are about to expire; I don't know what we're going to do about replacing them at this point because they ARE so expensive, but we figure it's better to have something out of date like that than nothing at all.
Medications. Any medication you NEED to have (any number of anti-depressants, antibiotics, whatever you've been prescribed, diabetic type pills, etc) you should have enough on hand AND UP TO DATE to get you through at least a day.
Just my thoughts on that.
And no, I'd never let Sarah get trapped in a building if I could get her out. Armed guards or not. Grrrr! But at the same time, there might be circumstances preventing me from taking care of her, in which case I am infinitely grateful that she can take care of herself.
In many ways, this is the basis for our relationship. We work it out beforehand so that when crisis strikes (as it invariably does, though, knock on wood, not often us), we are ready to deal with it and take care of it with what we have at hand, to the best of our ability.
Either together, or apart.
~hugs Sarah~
