I will second the above. His ideas are low tech and simple. They are no-nonsense but hardcore. He makes no attempt to dress up his ideas to make them polictically correct. His books are straight to the point and filled with good ideas. <br><br>His ideas are not for weekend camping. He assumes that you are in a true survival situation and the only rule is personal survival. Mall shopping surburanites may find his ideas too realistic and harsh while people interested in survival will find his ideas of how to use normal items to survive an excellent exercise in "thinking outside the box". <br><br>Typically his books are less than $15 and are worth the money.
