What are they made of? If they are so tough I can´t imagine the wool content to be very high, otherwise they would not be so tough.
And wool socks with wool content of 80% is what I prefer and use. Well actually I wear two pairs, inner sock is the 80% wool and outer with 50% wool.

Smartwool has produced a sock that is very similar in composition to these. I have a couple of pair and they are much more durable than their normal socks.

REI liner socks have a similar blend.

I wear REI liner socks under Smartwool as a routine in colder climates, not-so-much in SOCAL.
