With the very welcome change in the rules, I'll state my personal opinion.

Laws against carrying knives simply don't work for any public safety purpose. Even if they did work, I'd be against them. My right to own, use, and carry the knife of my choosing should not be infringed because of others' misbehavior.

Recently, a teenaged driver in my county caused a car wreck that resulted in a death. While I don't know anyone involved, it's very sad that this happened. Should I lose my car over that? Of course not. The same holds true for knives, in my book.

BTW, thanks to Doug and Knife Rights! I live in Montana and Doug's efforts have been instrumental in getting our switchblade ban (among others) overturned! The Governor still has to sign it but I think it's going to happen.
