https://www.newstimes.com/entertainment/...ut-13535844.php"On Sunday, Jan. 26, Institute for American Indian Studies educator Griffin Kalin will lead a program on how to survive in the Eastern Woodlands without 21-centure (SIC) technology." I am not affiliated with this organization. It is located in western CT, inexpensive, and looked interesting to me. Admin, please remove or relocate, as necessary.

Any older technology (pre-electricity or internal combustion), no matter how far back you go, is worth learning. When it comes to food collection though, it is very regionally specific. It is not wasted effort to learn it.

Indigenous people don't survive in the wilderness. They live there. That's a quote from someone, I don't remember who.

Lewis & Clark wintered over with the Mandans.
They observed and tried to treat many cases of frostbite on the natives as well as their own. Doesn't mean the locals didn't know what to do but sometimes countermeasures fail.

And frostbite is still with us, even with modern technology!
