acropolis5 Enthusiast Registered: 06/18/06 Posts: 358	Jeanette, the “ Stars and Bars” , commonly known as the “Confederate (National) Flag”, never was the actual national flag. The Stars and Bars was actually the battle Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia. That flag is the cult “idol” to which I referred.

However, referring to it as the "Stars and Bars" is incorrect.
