Has anybody ever heard of this charger ?

Is it a lark ?

No explanation on how it works, no technical spec., just many spelling errors ....
One photo seems to indicate it's solar powered, but in the FAQ they say it's not ...
FAQ just says "it contains a 5 year storage battery" !?!
What does that mean ? Is it just a battery, which will allow you to charge your phone only once ? Quite expensive .......

never seen it before frenchy.

but for those of us who want a charger id recommend 2 things.

1. hit the $1 stores theres a small black phone charger\backup that runs on 2 AA batteries and has a samll light built in.
they say they give 30 mins or so talk time, with a couple of hours stand by i think.

buy a few its cheap so are the batteries and it you loose it so what?

2. the sidewinder.
i found these on a few sites as well as the c.crane catalogue.
usually $23, crank operated. comes with several wires that connect to almost every phone made.
i plan on getting a few for the family.

I took a look at the "aardee Solar Mobile Charger" web site. My evaluation is "SCAM!". They claim it will sufficiently charge your phone in 15-20 seconds to provide 2 hours of talk time. I can't do that with the factory charger running on 115v. The web site name is "solar charger" yet they claim it's not a "solar charger". Then there are the gramatical errors in both the FAQ and the testimonials.

Overall, it's very suspicious.

2. the sidewinder.....

Do you have a few sites URL ?
I like that solution.
I have a radio and a flashlight, working either on batteries (rechargeable) or with a few turns of the crank. I never bother to charge them. When I need them , a few drops of elbow grease and it's running .....

I'm surprised that Grundig does not have some sort of voltage output device on its power crank radios that could be used to charge battery driven devices like cell phones.

When I bought that radio and the flashlight, I wondered if I could devise something like that ... add an output jack to power external devices or charge external batteries.
But I never opened the radio set, nor the light to check if it can be easily done....
Did anybody try something along those lines ???

no but i have thought about it too, can there be a small "hand generator" that you crank to power anything battery powered as long as you have a multiple connection Ac output?

basically a hand held crank ac adapter.
that would really make a killing on the market.
