LOTR: admire the hobbits' serious attention to food.

I've changed my mind. It would be more fun to live in the worlds of Chobits, Big Hero 6 or better yet somehow combine the two. What could be more fun than the combination of child prodigies and artificial-intelligent robots?

I would add Emerald City, as depicted in Lost in Oz, to the list.

I'll play!

I think I would go for Star Trek, the original... Blue shirt for me as science/medical would be fascinating (sorry)!

As a side note to living in 'Star Trek', any of the versions, it always surprised me that the only tools they usually had were the phaser and communicator and maybe someone had a tri-corder for data/analysis. McCoy, if he was along, would have the all-in-one FAK that could fix or cure anything with a single hypo-spray... unless the plot depended on it not working - but nobody else had any emergency medical gear.

So nobody had any sort of 'away team' go-bag or survival equipment with them. I guess the plots need the characters to work out their problems with brain and brawn but having a couple of extra tools would seem prudent. Maybe the future version of an electronic leatherman multi tool? Oh well, they are still fun to watch.

Star Wars sort of was the same way... Let's see, light saber, check. Flowing robes, check. Anything else - nope. Ready to go! It would have made some sense for Luke in the original to at least had some sort of water - being on a desert planet. Maybe I'm thinking about all this way to hard.

Considering it’s some of the best SF in recent times, I’m surprised no one has mentioned ”The Expanse”... or is it that maybe no one wants to live in that universe...

I'm not interested in living in that universe; having a real lightsaber in my EDC bag and the training to use it would be a positive thing.

One universe I do not want to be in is Thunderbirds. There's always a calamity, sometimes brought on by a criminal mastermind with unlimited resources.
