A contrary opinion; My edc is never the same. What I bring differs by day, job and location. I have a base and supplement it it with various bags (purse, backpack, lunch bag, tool box, etc.)

I guess it is a matter of definition. What you call a "base' is what i would term my edc - it never changes unless I have the misfortune to enter into a place where knives are a no-no. I have many items which I carry in addition to my base or edc for appropriate situations and generally only those occasions. Just a minor quibble over terminology.

Yes, the term EDC is something of a misnomer for me as well. I change what I am carrying depending on where I am going, how I will travel there, what I am doing, what I am wearing and what the weather will be like.

Mine is reviewed every time I travel or go camping. Yes there are things I have not used, but I keep them in just in case if they are not too bulky or heavy.
