I'd like to see one with an airway in it. Wound packing material, particularly a bloodstopper bandage, would also be a good idea.

But that would be for me. I don't know how London's cops are trained; if they're trained to use these kits properly, then that's a great start.

The idea they have sounds good to me - as the areas they are working with seem to have a lot of 'foot patrol' officers who could quickly use these on site until advanced help got there.

I carry (link below) an IFAK daily that is 'bare bones' in my pants cargo pocket... along with some extra gloves and usual EDC.

The home web site has a lot of the same sort of stuff for us here in the States. I'm fleshing out my home kit and POV kit with modules from them this summer. I will likely upgrade my pocket kit too with something a bit more advanced.

I have a couple of self made kits, one for the shooting range, and one for the house... at a minimum a couple of: pressure dressings (Israeli bandage if space is a premium, or Olaes bandage with occlusive side for chest puncture (they need to better control their vacuum sealing) a nasal pharyngeal airway and lube, a blood clotting gauze, chest seal/petroleum gauze if an Olaes bandage is not used, Kerlix gauze, and self adhering tape, gloves and shears... YMMV
