at a yard sale for 50 cents I got a full roll of an aluminum foil ment for photo use.black and thicker than kitchen foil it's made to block light and form into shades around hot studio lights.i was thinking about keeping a section of it in a small kit to wrap food for cooking or making pans or small pots.nothing I could find on the web said anything about the black coating being safe around food. anyone know about this stuff?

Here's the Cinefoil manufacturer's website, with the link to their own MSDS. It's some sort of epoxy coated aluminum.

I personally wouldn't use this stuff for food, ever. From Section 3 of the MSDS: "If product is heated, inhalation of fumes released from product may cause ‘polymer fume fever’, a flu-like illness." I doubt it would enhance the tea either.
