I test drove a Victorinox Classic SD for a while; I didn't like it. I used box cutters at my job and kitchen knives at home for opening boxes.

At $9.99 I decided to give the MK5 a try.

I think you'll like it! Currently I have four of them and I just ordered one more yesterday. I don't really "need" any more but it's a good deal and I'll probably gift a couple.

I love the Classic SD as a tool especially for the scissors. But as an actual knife it's kind of lacking; the primary blade is small, not all that sharp, pretty flimsy and not great for cutting open robust cardboard, etc. Something like a SAK Farmer makes a pretty good edc knife but I prefer Spyderco for daily carry. My primary everyday EDC is a Dragonfly in HAP40 but on my day off I'll usually also have a Spyderco Delica or Native on me, too.

My tool of choice is EMT shears. Knives were not my thing except for opening boxes. The MK5 is the second pocket/EDC knife I had decided to give a try.
