It's a small world. Some years ago I worked with the new Civil Defense Administrator, Talmadge Magno, at Channel islands NP. A great guy who has done well in the NPS.

I think it´s smart move. It might help to achieve a perceived increase of safety.
Saying it is too soon can easily backfire. It fosters the perception of imminent threads and conspiracy theories when measures a put in place later.
