Since I wear sweat pants a lot, this is just the thing for carrying my SAK, Leatherman Juice, or almost anything with a lanyard hole. (You need a lanyard between the clip and your tool.)

And since I started attaching lanyards to my tools, I've also grown accustomed to just letting the lanyard hand out of my pocket by a couple of inches to facilitate retrieval.
